Today I want to talk about another way to Make Self-Growth. I was talking to a friend the other day and he said that it’s easier to find the things you love to do than the things you don’t like to do. This is really true with my experience.
Importance Of Self-Esteem
You’ll notice that I never bothered to teach myself about anything in the past few long years. I remember when I was a kid, we’d have one of my dad’s friends teach us something we had never heard of before. They’d be able to explain what we were doing wrong, so we could improve our game. It was like that for a while until my dad started to spend less time with us.
At some point he also stopped teaching me, which also added to my self-esteem problems. My dad used to be very good at what he did, so it took me a while to figure out how to become good at what I wanted to do. (I’d even told him that I didn’t know what I was doing.)
Make Self-Growth Your Focus
So I decided that I had to Make Self-Growth if I wanted to learn more. I also realized that learning something new in itself helped me to grow. Now, I know that I have been in this position many times and it feels good to pick up new skills, to be challenged by new challenges, and to feel better about myself as a result.
What’s so great about making self-growth your focus, is that it gives you a new challenge every single day. As you keep doing it, you get better at it.
One way that I enjoy doing this is by using an affirmation and a positive affirmation. One of the more common ones is “I’ll make it big someday “I’m really good at this because I’ve done it a lot of times already. Another one is “I am what I focus on, not what I don’t focus on.”
It doesn’t matter what you’re okay with and what you don’t like. Your focus is what’s important. If you can say this, you can reach your goal.
Instead of having a short term or long term goal, you can simply focus on your present and future and you’ll see yourself heading toward your goal. You can’t control how long it takes for you to achieve your goal, but you CAN control how long it takes for you to reach your goal.
Create A Plan And Have Goals
So when you start out, you have to have goals and a direction you want to go. You will need to create a plan and put it in writing.
Then you can write down and begin practicing affirmations that will help you achieve your goal. Remember, it’s only yourself, no one else. You don’t have to feel guilty if you don’t know what to say.
It’s important to make sure that you give yourself the chance to practice positive self-talk every day. It will help you to continue with the habit and you’ll grow more confident in your ability to make Self-Growth your goal.
Remember, you don’t have to make Self-Growth your goal today. But you should definitely make it your goal if you want to really make more out of your life and to become the person you were meant to be.
